Best Of September ?
Death From Above - The Physical World -
We don't do massive reviews n' shit
Ten years ago we were spinning the odd tune from their first album ... this their latest probably suits 'best of September'. No easy task, considering Aphex and the multitude of re-releases that have been out lately ( Black Twang for one ), which are also worth checking out if you haven't done so.
Anyway, unless you've been living on the moon for the last 8 weeks, you'l have given this a listen anyway by now. Full album is down there @ the Spotify link.

Spotify
Spotify has always bugged me ... However theres nothing worse than listening to a playlist on your phone and suddenly the music stops because you are not allowed to listen to it on a 'mobile device' .... so in good old 'keeping up with the Jones's fashion' ... we'l be putting tunes in playlists for you on Spotify whenever possible. As well as youtube etc.
(give us a follow ... not even sure that's what ye meant to do but at least we'l know you ain't far away)
Expect quite a few random playlists erm .... going off, when I've had too many beers.

unZined - The Juveniles
For
my second outing to the local music scene, I looked towards band currently
gigging around the north west and looking to record some songs at a studio
later this month. The Juveniles, Mike Paul Davies on Guitar and Vocals, Liam Devall playing Lead Guitar, Laurel
Lau on the Keyboard, Marc Allan Gibbs playing Bass and Fab on Drums produce
great music and are well worth looking into more.
From
closer inspection of their social sites, their music seems well produced,
melodic and full of interesting, well written lyrics. Their sound is hard to
describe, as it is so unique, but at a push I can hear some influence from
Stone Roses with their songs psychedelic sound, great guitar riffs and steady
tempo and Joy Division with their synth and well versed lyrics. Very enjoyable
to listen to overall. Links to their music can be found at the bottom of this
blog.
Liam and Mike took the time recently to answer an interview I posted to them to find out more about the band. Check the interview after the jump:

The Business & Four From The Shelves
"The geezer was so hard even his nightmares were scared of him"
Heard OMD last night as part of 'The Business' soundtrack .. Half decent dated dealer flick if you ain't seen it ( wouldn't go out of your way to tho ) ... feat. Danny Dyer, It passed the time anyhow. Soundtrack could've been much better tbh.
& 4 plucked from The shelves at random
