The Stone Roses - Spike Island - 1990 - 25th Anniversary

25 Years ago today .. The Stone Roses played on Spike Island and it was 

erm ... 'a dead dead good day out' ... I was talking about the 'fan footage' on Sunday at the 25 years Anniversary gig which went on over in Widnes, Cheshire.

Im sure that there was someone else playing as well but anyway ( loved it !!! ) 

I was surprised to hear that even though they themselves were at Spike Island on that day, 

they'd never seen the fan footage vid on youtube.  

The Clone Roses hit the nail on the head on Sunday even appearing on stage dressed the same and coming onto the stage to the same record that the roses did on that day.

this is my personal fav, Ive probably mentioned it a few times but well worth a purchase if you were about at the time

Check This Out !! ... The Halton Rocks Line Up was announced a while back and the date has gradually crept up on us. This is happening this Saturday Night. So if you are staying local this Saturday and you are not venturing down to London for The Shiiine On Launch get yourselves across to this in Widnes at The Studio. 

Halton Rocks 2015 is sponsored by Take Phat and starts at 6pm

Tickets are £5 in advance or £6 on the door. All proceeds go to The Heswall Disabled Childrens holiday fund ( How decent a cause is that !! )

unZined - The Lockstocks Interview

Music scene fledglings, The Lockstocks, a four piece band from Widnes, Cheshire have been hard at work since their forming trying to find their sound and style, but already have a list of successful gigs and have a Self-Titled EP recorded. Its safe to say they are giving the band their all and their ambition should serve them well as they find their wings.
